On May 3, Fort Worth residents will come together to vote in local elections to select our city’s school board members.

Remember: We choose the people who make the decisions for our children and their futures.

Vote by Mail

Deadline to request your ballot: April 22

Can’t make it in person? You can still show up with a vote-by-mail ballot. Here’s how it’s done:

  • Download your application here or call your local or county office to request an application be sent to you. Here’s a Spanish version of the application.

  • Address your application and then mail or fax it to the Early Voting Clerk by April 22. Find contact info here.

  • Your ballot will be mailed to you.

  • Mail your ballot back to your local Early Voting Clerk or drop it off in-person at your local Early Voting Clerk’s office by 7 p.m. on May 3. Find address info here.

Early voting runs from April 22-29

Skip the lines and make sure your voice is heard!

  • You do not have to meet any special qualifications to vote early in-person – if you are registered and qualified to vote on Election Day, you can also cast a ballot during the early voting period.

Make sure you’re eligible to vote!

To register to vote in the state of Texas you must: 

  • Be a resident of the county you’re voting in.

  • Be a United States citizen.

  • Be 18 years old on or before Election Day (you can register at 17 years and 10 months).

  • Not be serving a sentence (including parole or probation) for a felony conviction.

  • Not have been declared mentally incapacitated by a court of law.

If you’re not eligible to vote, you can still support us by:

  • Sharing voter registration, early voting deadlines, and Election Day information on social media.

  • Encouraging friends and family to vote.

Did you know?

Over 60% of eligible Fort Worth voters participated in last year’s general election. However, just 12% showed up to vote for school board members in 2021. Our children need us to show up and raise our voices for them.
